As a new parent in the wake of disaster, our Pack of Tiny Adventures took away all the thinking for me, at a time when I simply didn't have the bandwidth to do anything other than keep my child safe. Those memories will stay with me forever and help me to balance out the negative memories of those shaky years: e.g. the two of us (Mr then 3-8) enjoying the silly recipes or laying on the grass to hunt for cloud creatures
As a parent of young kids in the wake of disaster, there were so many emotions. I worried about how my kids were doing. I felt so much guilt for being short on time, energy and patience when they needed me most. These activities really do make a huge difference for kids and parents in this situation.

How does this help kids touched by disaster?
These activities were originally designed by the All Right? team (of which our founder Jolie Wills was a part) to support parents and children in the wake of disaster. The city of Christchurch, New Zealand was stuck by a series of earthquakes and ongoing aftershocks in 2010 and 2011.
We know that after disaster, kids need time with their parents, a little extra love, attention and reassurance. We also know that in the wake of disaster, parents are dealing with REALLY BIG things as they navigate disaster recovery for their family. They are short on time and energy, and the list of things they need to tackle is long.
A Pack of Tiny Adventures helps make finding moments to connect with kids so much easier – the thinking has already been done. This is connection made easy – and FUN, at a time when we all could use a lift to our spirits.
While helpful in the wake of disaster, these activities are loved by families at any time – no disaster needed.
